Saint Panton

Saint Panton

At close distance from the buffer zone and overlooking the occupied town of Famagusta is a magnificent church that is dedicated to All Saints.

The church started being built in January 1974. With the Turkish invasion, the building work was interrupted and was resumed in 1987 and completed in 1992.

Its architecture is influenced by the Byzantine and the newer architectural tradition with the main features being the tiled dome and tall steeple.
