Event 1
Participation: The event involved 108 citizens (60 locals, 48 international – 16 countries), including 30 local participants from the city of Castiglione in Teverina (Italy), 30 participants from the city of Cautano (Italy), 3 participants from the city of Repashuta (Hungary), 3 participants from the city of Vila Nova de Cerveira (Portugal), 3 participants from the city of Ivancna Gorica (Slovenia), 3 participants from the city of Herrera del Duque (Spain), 3 participants from the city of Lanškroun (Czech Republic), 3 participants from the city of Klana (Croatia), 3 participants from the city of Mellieha (Malta), 3 participants from the city of Deryneia (Cyprus), 3 participants from the city of Wieliszew (Poland), 3 participants from the city of Siret (Romania), 3 participants from the city of Amt Trittau (Germany), 1 participant from the Organization EILD (Greece), 3 participants from the city of Herceg Novi (Montenegro), 2 participants from the city of Katerini (Greece), 3 participants from the Organization Balkanu Zieds (Latvia), 3 participants from the Organization Razvojni Centar Vojvodine (Serbia), 3 participants from the city of Bükkszentkereszt (Hungary).

Location / Dates: The event took place in Castiglione in Teverina (Italy) from 02/08/2018 to 06/08/2018

Short description: The aim of the event was to introduce the delegations and to foster a sense of team; to establish a collaborative and loose environment of discussion; to foster a sense of community and open the project to the local communities through integrational activities organised by local volunteers; to enhance the knowledge about EU aims, values and structure with the direct intervention of experts and PA; to stimulate debate and exchange of opinion through debate; to introduce the policy making process of the Union; to make cultural visits; to exchange best practices on EU funding; to set the features of the next meetings through an operative Meeting.

Event 2

Participation: The event involved 74 citizens (30 locals, 44 international – 16 countries), including 30 local participants from the city of Vila Nova de Cerveira (Portugal), 3 participants from the city of Castiglione in Teverina (Italy), 2 participants from the city of Amt Trittau (Germany), 2 participants from the city of Herceg Novi (Montenegro), 3 participants from the city of Repashuta (Hungary), 2 participants from the city of Mellieha (Malta), 3 participants from the city of Ivancna Gorica (Slovenia), 3 participants from the city of Herrera del Duque (Spain), 2 participants from the city of Lanškroun (Czech Republic), 2 participants from the city of Klana (Croatia), 3 participants from the city of Deryneia (Cyprus), 3 participants from the city of Wieliszew (Poland), 3 participants

Location / Dates: The event took place in Vila Nova de Cerveira (Portugal), from 25/10/2018 to 29/10/2018

Short description: The aim of the event was to analyse the euroscepticism situation in partner Countries and the perception of EU; to set a meeting with the representatives of the municipality and tour of the town with local volunteers; to enhance the knowledge about the Euroscepticism phoenomenon and understand reasons and nature of the opposition to EU; to highlight differencesamong Europe and eventual fragilities in the Union caused by stereotypes through practical activity; to stimulate debate about Euroscepticism, oppositive propaganda and risks caused to the cohesion of EU; to show counternarratives on how EU supports citizenship actions; to favour integration and a sense of fellowship among european citizens; to give the chance to each participant to draw conclusions and recommendations.

Participation: The event involved 74 citizens (30 locals, 44 international – 16 countries), including 30 local participants from the city of Ivancna Gorica (Slovenia), 3 participants from the city of Repashuta (Hungary), 3 participants from the city of Bukkszentkereszt (Hungary), 3 participants from the city of Cautano (Italy), 3 participants from the city of Herceg Novi (Montenegro), 3 participants from the city of Mellieha (Malta), 3 participants from the city of Castiglione in Teverina (Italy), 3 participants from the city of Vila Nova de Cerveira (Portugal), 3 participants from the city of Deryneia (Cyprus), 3 participants from the city of Wieliszew (Poland), 2 participants from the Organization Balkanu Zields (Latvia), 2 participants from the city of Amt Trittau (Germany), 3

Location / Dates: The event took place in Ivancna Gorica (Slovenia), from 14/03/2019 to 18/03/2019

Short description: The aim of the event was to report about partner experiences in the field of migration, policies and best practices, perception of the migrants' phoenomenon; to enhance the knowledge about the Migration phoenomenon and understand reasons and nature of the movement of people; to show how the perception of routes is often misleaded by media communications; to present positive examples of integration; to break down and debunk blocks of "problems" into small solvible matters through problem solving game; to set a seminar about social invasion: creation of social contents, video interviews, photos, comments, with hashtags for dissemination, theme:migration and its perception; to avoid opposion and disgregative feelings caused by deceptive use of the migrants crisis through counternarratives.

Location / Dates: The event took place in Herrera Del Duque (Spain), from 27/06/2019 to 01/07/2019

Short description The event “Debunking propaganda: media literacy and correct use of information” was aimed to rise awareness on the theme of media literacy, offering occasions to the participants to practice some techniques for the debunking of false news and to access reliable  informations about the European Union. During the meeting the participants had the chance to share examples of actions undertaken in their Country or at their local level to contrast the spread of fake news, or examples of what happened when a fake news spread in their community and how it was stopped. Practical activities allowed for direct confrontation, among mixed groups, about relevant themes at EU level. An exercitation about how to evaluate the reliability of online information has been carried out.

Location / Dates: The event took place in Deryneia (Cyprus), from 11/10/2019 to 14/10/2019


Short description The main aim of the event “Counternarratives for a tighter-knit Europe” was to build upon the experiences carried out during the previous five KNOTS! Project's international workshops to start drawing new counternarratives about the European Citizenship. Through opportunities for discussion and practices sharing the participants debated EU relevant themes and expressed their opinions and the opinions gathered among their community. Among the different themes, a discussion about the Cyprus situation had been carried out with the visit to the occupied city of Famagusta. Added value for the project was the conjunction of the KNOTS! Workshop with two other Erasmus+ Sport Project (STEPONE and WAVES), that allowed further dissemination and cross-fertilisation of thematics and activities.

Location / Dates: The event took place in Répáshuta (Hungary), from 08/11/2019 to 12/11/2019

Short description: The final event of KNOTS! Project was titled “EU2030: gathering of recommendations and wishes from citizens of Europe” and its aim was to carry out activities and debate to foster the gathering and sharing of recommendations about the Future of Europe among citizens of local communities. This meeting gave the chance to the participants to make their voce heard and to learn about instruments for consultation at European level. Practical activities about the techniques for citizens engagement and survey were carried out. There was also the chance to participate in a traditional Hungarian wedding and to learn about volunteering actions for the preservation of local cultural heritage.
